These time management games centered around commercial food preparation date back to the days of Adobe Flash; they are inspired by the wildly successful Diner Dash franchise, which started breaking casual gaming records in 2003.

The world of Papa Louie's started off with a side-scrolling game that was later designed as a restaurant time management title centered around a pizzeria. There is a simple story that kicks off this fun and colorful game. You are hired as sundae shop clerk at a seaside resort town; things start off easy but later get crazy as the high tourist season kicks into high gear and you are tasked with serving up frozen desserts as well as smoothies that come with increasing preparation challenges. The Freezeria has four main sections: Ordering, Building, Mixing, and Topping. As more customers arrive, things start to get hectic, and you have to figure out how to manage the shop without losing customers.

This game needs to be played in landscape orientation so that you can use both thumbs along your device. Your multitasking skills will be put to the test very early into the game as the menu expands to include more recipes. There are more than 70 ingredients and quite a few combinations to test your memory, time management skills, and reflexes. Even though this is a paid app, you can't beat its low price. The dedicated tablet version of Papa's Freezeria To Go! is a better deal because of its higher resolution and more challenging gameplay. With regard to graphics and game flows, they are flawless. Unfortunately, the volume control in this game is far too simple, so you will not be able to turn off the music and only listen to the sound effects.
